Hankook Tea was established in 1951.
 

For the past 70 years, Hankook Tea has established and directly managed Honam Tea Estates, one of the largest tea estates in the southern region of South Korea at over 82 acres in total. Among those, 13 acres are in Jangsung County, 41 acres in Yeongam County, and 17 acres in Haenam County.

 

Also, some of the latest technologies of the tea industry have been implemented into our two fully automated factories, each located in Yeongam County and Gwangju Metropolitan City.

 

Our products meet a wide variety of demands, ranging from powdered green tea (matcha) for OEM to premium leaf tea for some of the most exquisite tasters around the globe.

 

In recognition of our contribution and dedication to preserving traditional agricultural methods, manufacturing processes, and unique tastes of Korean culture, we received from the Ministry of Agriculture the prestigious title of “Grand Master of Traditional Korean Foods” for Hwang Cha (partially fermented green tea) and Malcha (powdered green tea). 

 

In 2000, the Honor Certificate and International Famous Tea Honorary Medal were earned at The 2nd Chinese International Tea Festival, and in 2002, the Excellence Award was earned for our powdered green tea, Ujeon Gamro green tea and Gamnong green tea at the International Famous Tea Competition.

 

With over 30 products, including our Hwang Cha, powdered tea, mulberry leaf tisane and persimmon leaf tisane, Hankook Tea Company is expanding into the global market.

 

Our clients include McDonald's Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, and Indonesia, as well as Dunkin Donuts Singapore.
