Hotteok is one of the most popular street snack in
Korea, especially in winter.
It is a flour dough pancake filled with sugar syrup.
Brown sugar mixed with cinnamon powder is a
common filling, but seeds, nuts, or vegetables
mixed with glass noodles are popular as well.
It is crispy outside, and chewy inside.
As long as you’re careful not to be surprised by
hot syrup popping out of dough, it could very well be your favorite snack.
