Company Overview

Sempio was established in 1946, a year after Liberation of Korea, with the name of ?Samsi Soy Brewery. For 59 years, Sempio has made quality guaranteed soy sauce products, and has been keeping more than 50% of soy sauce Market Share in Korea. At 1987, Sempio completed the construction of new plant in Ichon. The new facility is fully automated and the largest unit soy sauce manufacturing facility in the world. With well-known Sempio soy sauce, company has expanded its business into traditional sauces and general foodstuffs such as hot pepper paste, soybean pasted, canned food, noodles, vinegar, oil, and teas. Sempio is producing these products except soybean-based ones and hot-pepper paste through subsidiaries and affiliated companies under our technical assistance and strict quality control. Since 1997, after President Park Jin-Sun has been appointed, Sempio has been going through huge alteration and transformation. Strengthening R&D Institute, the company is spurring to develop new products with best quality. New plant in Youngdong, which was moved from Seoul in April 2000, is able to manufacture 13000kl of soybean paste and hot pepper paste with the most advanced and clean facilities. Sempio inaugurated International Marketing (IM) in 1997, IM increased oversea sales from 199,000 dollars in 1997 up to 6,935,000 dollars in 2004. They are now facing one million dollars export record in four years history. Mission We believe that making quality guaranteed soy sauce is in one way of keeping the root of Korean culture.
