At times it’s a hassle to have to cook your meal. Frozen food is perfect when it’s too troublesome to go grocery shopping. In Korean homes, ‘Mandu (dumpling)’ and ‘Tteokguktteok (sliced rice cake)’ can be easily found stocked up in the freezer. They have long expiration dates, too. So in Korea, when it’s too much trouble to cook, it’s common to make hearty and delicious Tteokmandutguk (sliced rice cake and dumpling soup) using the two frozen ingredients. Here’s how our <Korea Agrafood> subscribers can also try and make Tteokmandutguk with Mandu and Tteokguktteok.
