Jeyukbokkeum (Stir-fried pork) is a delicious dish with rice, and goes well with alcohol. It is a highly satisfying dish because it is deliciously filling and simple to make by stir-frying pork with gochujang (red chili paste). It’s especially amazing to have jeyukbokkeum wrapped in lettuce with various vegetables such as garlic and chili peppers. The nutritive value of jeyukbokkeum with meat and various vegetables is a bonus. Sweet and spicy jeyukbokkeum can be a wonderful meal.

 

#2 servings : 980kcal  Cooking time : 30 minutes
Main Ingredients (2 servings): 600g of pork, 1 onion, 1/3 carrot, 1 green onion, 1 tbsp minced garlic
Sub Ingredients (marinade): 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp starch syrup, 1 tbsp gochujang, 2 tbsp red chili powder, 1 tbsp sugar

 

#Recipe

 

1. Mix pork with half a tbsp minced garlic and 1 tbsp soy sauce.

 

2. Mix 2 tbsp red chili powder, 1 tbsp soy sauce, half a tbsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp starch syrup, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp gochujang together to make the marinade.

3. Slice green onion, onion and carrot into bite-sized pieces.
4. Now stir-fry over high heat until the meat loses its color.
5. Add prepared onion, green onion, carrot and other vegetables and stir-fry over medium heat. 
6. When the vegetables are cooked, add the marinade and mix well. 
7. Put it on a plate and jeyukbokkeum is done!

 

 

Tip. Mix it with rice and you can enjoy a more delicious jeyukbokkeum.
